Pictured above are five awesome men from the Fort Worth Running Club in Fort Worth, Texas. They responded to Jim's Aunt, Nancy Moffett, requesting anyone out there willing to run the 2007 Boston Marathon carrying Jim's picture.
They said they would be honored and took it a step further by running the 2007 Boston Marathon wearing Jim's picture silk screened on their uniform shirts.
Jim's family members and friends from the University Of Maine met in Boston with the guys from Texas the night before the Marathon for a wonderful dinner and toast honoring Jim. This was an emotional and unforgetable event. These five Men along with their families will always remain a very special part of our family forever.

Pictured above is Adam Goode from Bangor, Maine placing his Marathon Medal on Jim's Mom, Peggy, after crossing the finish line in Boston. Adam qualified for Boston by running the Cape Cod Marathon during the Winter months just so he could run the 2007 Boston Marathon for his good friend Jim. Contratulations to Adam for being elected into the State of Maine Legislature, representing the 15th District from Bangor, Maine. Adam, the rewards are unlimited for being the person that you are. |
